Two different FODS mats: which one do you need?
FODS makes two mats that do different jobs, and they are not interchangeable. The Trackout Control Mat cleans tires at a site exit. The Ground Protection Mat is a temporary road or walkway.

A trackout control mat is a portable, reusable rumble plate for the exit of a construction site. As a vehicle rolls across the raised pattern, the mat agitates the tires and dislodges the mud and rock that would otherwise track onto public roads. FODS mats are a manufactured stabilized construction entrance that replaces gravel exits and steel rumble plates.

Steel rumble plates work, but they are heavy, need a forklift or crane to place, damage the road and the plate over time, and are usually rented over and over.
