What makes San Diego different

Federal work, and a different rulebook. San Diego County carries an unusual concentration of military construction: Naval Base San Diego, North Island, Camp Pendleton, Miramar. Work on those installations runs under U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or NAVFAC requirements, which means EM 385-1-1 rather than Title 8 alone. EM 385 is heavier than Cal/OSHA, it wants an accepted Accident Prevention Plan before mobilisation, and it expects a Site Safety and Health Officer with credentials on file. Contractors coming off private commercial work consistently underestimate the lead time on their first federal award. We handle that transition.

Life science and lab fit-out. Sorrento Valley, Torrey Pines and UTC run heavily on laboratory and biotech tenant improvement. That drags in hazardous materials, chemical hygiene, ventilation, and coordination with an operating facility that cannot go offline.

Cross-border logistics. Otay Mesa and the border corridor bring warehouse and distribution construction, with the same large low-slope roofs and absent anchorage that make a mobile fall protection system the practical answer.

Residential and hospitality volume. Chula Vista, Escondido, Oceanside and Carlsbad carry tract residential and hotel work, where roofing and framing fall exposure dominates.
