The Warthog Comfort Maxx Steel Harness is a steelworker-inspired upgrade to the best-selling Comfort Maxx, built for ironworkers and heavy trades who need a harness that carries their gear and eases strain through a long shift. It is a premium Class 3 full-body harness ready for demanding construction and industrial work across California.

The reinforced belt is designed to carry popular tool bags, while a higher dorsal D-ring and dual lifeline attachment points reduce strain on the lower back. A trauma relief strap comes pre-installed, ready to relieve suspension pressure if a fall occurs. Rated for workers 130 to 310 lbs and available S-M through 3XL.

Key features

  • Class 3 full-body harness built for steelworkers and heavy trades
  • Reinforced belt sized to carry popular tool bags
  • Higher dorsal D-ring and dual lifeline attachment to reduce lower-back strain
  • Pre-installed suspension trauma relief strap
  • Full padding on shoulders, back, waist, and thighs for all-day comfort
  • Meets and exceeds applicable ANSI and OSHA standards

Common uses

  • Ironwork and structural steel erection
  • Heavy trades requiring tool-bag capacity
  • Long-shift construction and industrial work at height
  • Any job needing added comfort and back support

How to put on and adjust the harness

  1. Hold the back D-ring, shake the harness to free the straps, and unfasten any buckles.
  2. Slip the straps over your shoulders, keeping the D-ring centered on your back.
  3. Pass each leg through the leg straps and keep all connectors snug.
  4. Secure the waist belt snugly.
  5. Connect the chest strap, keeping it 6 to 8 inches below your throat.

Inspect the harness before every use and take any harness that has arrested a fall out of service.
