A 12 inch slider bracket in place of the standard 4 inch one. The slider bracket is the part that hangs down the back side of the wall or beam the system is hung over.
The manufacturer is straightforward about this one: it is not required from an engineering perspective. The standard bracket is rated for the job. The longer bracket exists because a 12 inch drop down the back of the wall gives crews more confidence than a 4 inch one, and on a tall or awkward assembly that matters to the people standing on the platform.
Note the difference from the slider tubes: the tube sets how thick a wall the system can span, the bracket sets how far it hangs down the far side. They solve different problems and a thick wall may want both.
