A 65 inch horizontal arm with double gusset that replaces the standard 44 inch arm on the same Wall Walker vertical beam, letting the worker stand on a plank further out from the wall.
The use case the manufacturer names is overhangs: installing fascia board on a 3 to 4 foot overhang, where a 44 inch arm puts the platform under the overhang rather than out where the work is. Also useful for roof line and parapet work for the same reason.
This is a replacement arm, not an add-on. It takes the place of the 44 inch arm rather than extending it.
Remember that California limits occupancy to two employees in any given 10 feet of bracket scaffold, with tools and materials capped at 75 pounds in addition to the employees, under 8 CCR 1645(e). A longer arm does not raise that limit.
Load rating on the longer arm: the published 250 lb per bracket figure is stated at the end of the standard 44 inch arm, and the manufacturer's stamped engineering calculations do not restate it for this arm. Call us before specifying the 65 inch arm for a loaded platform and we will get the rating confirmed in writing for your application.
