Your employer's part

This online course does not replace the training your employer must give on your own job: site-specific training, and hands-on practice and evaluation where the rule requires them.

What this course does not do

The rule does not cover construction work, which falls under OSHA's separate construction silica rule. The rule requires training on your employer's own tasks, protective measures and medical surveillance program, and this course cannot replace that part. This course also does not fit test you or give you a medical evaluation for a respirator. Your employer must arrange both, and the fit test is done with you in person.
