Senko SI-200E Fixed Gas Detector with Display

The SI-200E is the fixed detector most facilities end up buying. It has a four digit display at the sensor, it speaks both 4-20mA and RS-485, and it carries ATEX, IECEx and CE approval for hazardous locations.

What the display buys you

A local concentration reading changes how the instrument gets used. A technician standing at the detector can see the number rather than infer it from an alarm state, which matters when you are commissioning, calibrating, or trying to work out whether a reading at the panel is a real leak or a drifting sensor. It also gives you something to point at during an inspection.

Gas coverage

The SI-200E has the broadest gas list in the Senko fixed range. Beyond the common industrial gases it covers semiconductor process gases such as silane, arsine and phosphine, and a volatile organic compound channel for solvent atmospheres. For the toxic and highly toxic gases in that list, note that 29 CFR 1910.1000 Table Z-1 sets the federal exposure limit, and where the gas is stored indoors as a compressed gas the International Fire Code separately requires a gas detection system.
