- Each topic lesson ends with practice questions that do not count toward your score.
- The final exam has 25 questions drawn at random. You need 80 percent to pass, and you get 3 attempts.

Your employer's part
This online course does not replace the training your employer must give on your own job: site-specific training, and hands-on practice and evaluation where the rule requires them.
What this course does not do
This course does not include a medical evaluation or a fit test. Section 5144 requires a medical evaluation before a worker is fit tested or required to use a respirator, and a fit test before a tight-fitting respirator is used (5144(e)(1), (f)(2)). The fit test is done in person; your employer arranges both. Your employer must still cover its own written program, respirators and worksite in its training; a review checklist is built into the course.
