Your employer's part
This online course does not replace the training your employer must give on your own job: site-specific training, and hands-on practice and evaluation where the rule requires them.
What this course does not do
This is a knowledge course. It does not designate anyone as a supervisor, and it does not qualify anyone to wear an SCBA. It does not replace fit testing, medical evaluation, SCBA practice, drills or your site's contingency plan, which come from your employer. It is not an ANSI Z390.1 course and does not replace an operator's H2S card or offshore BSEE training under 30 CFR 250.490. If your operator requires a Z390.1 card, check with the operator. This is the federal OSHA course. If you work in a state with its own OSHA-approved plan, your state may have different or more stringent rules. The course is online only.
