Military and Government Mobile Fall Protection

Defense and government maintenance covers aircraft, vehicles, hovercraft, and facilities across bases that rarely share a common fixed anchor. A towable mobile anchor follows the work from base to base and provides compliant overhead tie-off wherever the mission puts a crew at height.

The hazard and the standard

Fall protection on federal and contractor sites follows OSHA, and often the stricter EM-385-1-1 for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers work. General industry fall protection under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.28 applies at 4 feet; construction under 29 CFR 1926.501 at 6 feet. Personal fall arrest anchorages must hold at least 5,000 pounds per worker, per 29 CFR 1926.502(d)(15). A mobile overhead anchor meets that where no structure will.

What fits

Towable XSERIES units move base to base for aircraft servicing, vehicle and equipment maintenance, and building work. They set up without permanent installation, which suits temporary and expeditionary sites. See the mobile fall protection systems.

Common applications
