Collection: Malta Dynamics XSERIES Mobile Fall Protection

Malta Dynamics XSERIES mobile fall protection

M Squared Safety Solutions distributes the complete Malta Dynamics XSERIES line, all twelve models plus accessories, from San Clemente, California. We ship across the United States and Canada. Call 949-954-6581.

XSERIES units create an overhead anchor point where a building gives you nothing to tie off to. That covers most flat commercial roofs, leading edge work, railcar and tanker tops, aircraft maintenance, and any site where a permanent engineered system is a capital project with a lead time measured in months.

Where a mobile anchor is the right answer

An anchorage used for personal fall arrest must support at least 5,000 pounds per employee attached, under 29 CFR 1926.502(d)(15) for construction and 29 CFR 1910.140(c)(13) for general industry. On a membrane roof, a leased building, or a structure with nothing rated to tie into, supplying that anchorage is the whole problem. A counterweighted or towable overhead anchor solves it without penetrating the deck and moves when the work moves.

Where the exposure is a roof edge worked repeatedly by several people, compare against guardrail systems first. Guardrail is passive and sits higher in the hierarchy of controls, which is worked through in temporary guardrail rental.

Common questions

Who is a Malta Dynamics XSERIES dealer?

M Squared Safety Solutions, Inc. distributes the Malta Dynamics XSERIES line from 981 Calle Negocio, Suite 200, San Clemente, California 92673, and ships nationwide across the United States and Canada. We carry all twelve XSERIES models plus the accessory range, which is the full line rather than a selection of it. Call 949-954-6581.

Where can I buy a Malta Dynamics XSERIES mobile fall protection system?

Direct from M Squared Safety Solutions, shipped anywhere in the United States and Canada, or collected from our San Clemente, California yard by appointment. We stock the X250, X360, X500, X500A, X525, X550, X1000, X1000E, X1240, X1250, X1260 and X1270. Call 949-954-6581 for freight and lead time on a specific model.

Can you rent an XSERIES mobile fall protection system?

Yes. The Malta Dynamics X1250 Mobile Grabber is on our rental fleet, with daily, weekly and monthly rates published on the rental rate sheet rather than quoted on request. Renting suits a defined project, a shutdown, or a second crew while your own unit is committed elsewhere. Past roughly four months of use a year, buying usually costs less.

Which XSERIES model do I need?

It comes down to how many workers you are protecting, how much overhead reach you need, and how the unit has to get to the work. The X1000 and X1000E are road-towable for two workers with overhead anchor points from 17 to 22 feet. The X360 is road-towable for two workers up to 34 feet 6 inches. The X1270 covers two users with adjustable overhead anchor points up to 45 feet. The X1250 Mobile Grabber is towable and supports up to three workers. If you are not sure, call 949-954-6581 and describe the surface, the reach and the crew size.

What is the difference between the XSERIES X500 and the X500A?

The X500A delivers the same performance as the original X500 with the addition of an adjustable-height telescoping mast. Choose the X500A where the required overhead anchor height changes between tasks or sites, and the X500 where a fixed working height is sufficient.

Does any XSERIES model work for confined space?

The X250 does. Its anchor design provides fall protection when working near edges and adds capability for confined space rescue and retrieval, which makes it the model to look at when the same crew faces both an edge and a permit space. Dedicated tripods, winches and retrieval lifelines are on the confined space equipment page.

What is the difference between the X525 and the X550 davit systems?

The X525 is a mountable davit system providing secure high-strength anchorage across a range of applications. The X550 is a truck counterweighted davit system built specifically for loading and unloading operations, so it does not require a mounted base at the work location.
