No Title 8 section sets a specific H2S supervisor course. Section 3203(a)(7)(F) requires training for supervisors on the hazards their workers may be exposed to, and this course can be one part of that training for H2S. It does not designate anyone as a supervisor and does not qualify anyone to wear an SCBA. It does not replace fit testing, medical evaluation, SCBA practice, drills or your site's contingency plan, which come from your employer. It is not an ANSI Z390.1 course and does not replace an operator's H2S card or offshore BSEE training under 30 CFR 250.490. If your operator requires a Z390.1 card, check with the operator before you buy. This is the Cal\/OSHA course, and federal OSHA's rules differ in several places. A federal OSHA version of this course is sold separately.
