This course does not qualify you to use powder-actuated tools, which need a valid operator's card for the tool (Section 1685). It does not replace the hands-on training your employer must give before you operate a pneumatic nailer or stapler (Section 1704(g)). It does not teach woodworking machines other than portable circular saws, chain saw operation, air compressors and air tanks, abrasive blasting, welding and cutting, or work outside construction. This is the Cal\/OSHA course, and federal OSHA's rules differ in several places.
